We looked around our beautiful city and saw incredible raw talent; musicians without a place to jam, writers looking for a community, and visual artists who lacked access to the tools they needed to thrive. Radford Arts Association was born out of a desire to bridge the gap. We started as a grassroots community initiative to bring local creators under one roof, share resources, and provide the spaces and tools necessary for anyone to bring their ideas to life.

Since 2022, our mission has remained the same: Make art and the tools to create it accessible to everyone. We are a multi-disciplinary community arts association dedicated to breaking down economic and social barriers across all creative mediums; from music and creative writing to the visual and performing arts. By providing resources, holding workshops, and sponsoring local events, we hope to empower every individual to discover and share their unique voice.

Right now, we operate as a passionate, community-led group, but we have big plans for the future. We are currently laying the groundwork to become an official organization. This transition will allow us to apply for grants, secure larger sponsorships, and scale our operations so we can bring a permanent creative workspace to our community.
